Polyester garments can make you sweat more than cotton clothing as polyester is not as breathable as cotton.
Polyester is a good garment material but in the heat or if you sweat a lot then the polyester garments could make you uncomfortable.

When polyester melts it can produce toxic fumes that can cause lung issues so if you have melted polyester and there's a smell you should open windows and get some fresh air in.

You can tumble dry polyester in the dryer but you should use the cool setting and not the high heat setting as it could melt the polyester.
