One of my friends has a last name of dick and at first he hated it and wanted to change the name.
However later on in life he decided that having the name dick was not all that bad.
He could say well I can be a dick to you if you want me too if someone was being a dick to him he could use the excuse which was true that he was more of a dick to that person than the other person.
So having the name dick is not all that bad.
If you think bad things about it then the name dick can be bad.
But if you don't let it bother you or don't think bad things about the name dick then it's not all that bad.
I also know a judge that has the last name dick and he says it does not bother him either.
There are a lot worse last names out there than dick.
