An army jail is usually called a guardhouse or stockade.

The Army Jail is different from an Army Prison as Army Jails are typically used to temporarily hold people in the military who do crimes.

Then if they are convicted by a military court judge then they may get sent to a military prison.

Military personal may also be temporarily held in the army jail for petty crimes or they may be held in the military jail awaiting trial for more serious crimes.

The army jail is just basically nearly the same as a regular county jail except the difference is in who runs and operates the military jail.

The military jail or army jail is operated by the military government while the county jails are operated by the local county.
