Does UPS sometimes hand off deliveries to USPS for final delivery?

Yes UPS will sometimes hand off packages to be delivered through the USPS.

There's a name for it but I forgot what the service is called. I think it's called UPS surepost but I'm not 100% sure if that is correct.

But UPS will sometimes pass packages off to USPS for final delivery.

Essmann is correct the service is called UPS Surepost where UPS will hand off the package for final delivery once it reaches your town.
