Try finding forums related to your travel blog and signup and post new threads and reply to new threads and then put your url in your forum signature and you can get direct traffic from those forums.
Just don't spam the forums though. Post good information and in time you'll get traffic back to your blog when someone clicks on your link in your forum signature.
Also find other blogs related to your travel blog and post good comments with a link in your profile. Don't post the link in the comment though as it will be seen as spam and removed.
The link will be added to where your username is where you left the comment.
You can also find other blogs related to your travel blog and reach out to them to see if you do guest posting with a link back to your blog.
