Yes wind turbines do kill a lot of birds that come into contact with the blades.
If the birds would try to avoid the wind turbines then they would not be killed by the turbines so it's not always the wind turbines fault.
However the wind turbine blades are ally tall and large and they are larger than they look and can easily kill birds that come into contact with the wind turbine blades.
It's estimated that wind turbines kill as many as 140,000 to 328,000 birds each year that come into contact with the blades.
Still we need the wind turbines to create wind energy so that we don't run out of fossil fuels creating electricity.
The birds just need to learn to avoid those wind turbine blades and then they would survive.
