A wind speed of between 25 MPH to 31 MPH is considered a moderate but strong wind.

Wind speeds greater than 31 MPH and over 50 MPH are considered to be very strong winds.

If the wind is blowing 51 MPH or above it can make it difficult to keep control of a vehicle or even difficult to walk in.

When the wind is blowing 60 MPH to 70 MPH then it's very strong wind and you should really not drive in that high of wind or pull a trailer such as a travel trailer, box trailer etc.

NO.

Wind chill does not affect a thermometer.

Wind chill is the measure of heat loss from your body and when the wind is blowing across your body it evaporates moisture from your body and moves the heat away from your body which then makes you feel colder than it actually is.

Thermometers do not record any wind chill effect.

Plants can be affected by wind chill.

However plants don't feel the cold like humans, dogs and other animals do.

Most plants are fine even in the cold when the wind is blowing and causing a wind chill effect until the temperature dips below freezing.

Plants usually only freeze and die off when the temperature gets below freezing.

Wind chill does not make non living things colder.

For example a car radiator, car or other inanimate object will not be colder than it already is even when the wind is blowing and experiencing the wind chill effect.

Wind chill can make it easier for a cars engine to cool down because the radiator will be much cooler.

But other than that things do not get colder just because of wind chill

Wind chill doesn't change the actual temperature of the earth or things.

Wind chill cools the body down though and makes the body feel colder because the wind is blowing the cold air onto your body and moving the heat away from your body which makes you feel colder.

Wind itself cannot be cold.

Wind is just air movement in the atmosphere and cannot be cold.

When you feel a cold wind blowing you're feeling the cold air of the earth that is already cold.

The wind blows through that cold air which is what makes the wind feel cold out when it blows onto you.

Just like in summertime the wind blows hot air but it's not the wind that is hot but instead it's the air that is hot but the wind is just blowing the hot air which makes the wind feel hot.

Wind is nothing but air movement and the temperature of the air is what determines if the wind is cold, warm or hot.

When it's cold outside and the wind is blowing it makes the weather feel colder than it is on your skin which is known as the wind chill.

Any wind speed above 31 MPH is considered to be a high wind speed.
