You can use WD-40 to stop a chair from squeaking.

If your office chair is squeaking listen for where the actual squeaking is coming from on the chair.

Then take some WD-40 and spray where the chair is squeaking and it should stop the squeaking of the chair.

Sometimes it's the cylinder of the chair squeaking as you move the chair back and forth sideways and sometimes it's the back squeaking when you lean back or when you rock back and forth.

Another thing that can be squeaking on chairs is the rolling wheels.

I notice when I lean back and roll my office chair back that sometimes I'll hear a squeaking sound.

I sprayed the wheels with some WD-40 and it stops the squeaking for awhile.

And for some chairs the squeaking may continue but you can spray WD-40 on the chair where it's squeaking which almost always stops the squeaking sound.
