England is where black cats originate from.
A black cat is actually an English cat which is where the black cat came from originally.
However not all black cats are the same breed because cats can be all sorts of colors no matter what the breed of the cat.
Also some breeds of cats can be partly black and have other colors such as brown, gray etc.
Although in the USA black cats are sometimes considered bad luck in some other countries the black cat is considered good luck.
I've never had any back luck though when I encountered any black cats.
And that is why it's just superstition that has no truth to it.
If you're gonna have bad luck that day you're gonna have bad luck whether or not you cross the path of a black cat.
