No you should never post your children's photos on Facebook or other online sites.

Children's photos should always be kept private and only shared with family privately and not through the internet.

I see some people posting photos of their child in the bathtub, on the toilet etc or even show them getting their diaper changed.

That is okay for family but those types of photos should never be posted online.

I personally would never want to post any photos of my kids whether naked or clothed or even wearing just a diaper online.

People can do what is called digital kidnapping and pose as the child or pose as the child's parents.

The meaning of digital kidnapping is where a person takes a persons photos such as a child's photos or other minors photos from the internet and then claims to be that minor or the minors parents.

Basically for example if I were to take your child's photos that I found on the internet such as on your Facebook page and then uploaded those photos to my own Facebook page and claim those children or other minors or minor as being my kid then that would be an example of digital kidnapping.

So you need to be very careful when posting a minors or your kids photos online.

I would never want to post my kids photos online because once the kids photos are online you can never really take them down.

It's very easy for someone to save your kids pictures and even when you delete the pictures from your part of the internet people can still upload them because they save them to their computer.

Digital Kidnapping is most commonly done to reveal private or sensitive information that negatively impacts the child's life, making it difficult to gain acceptance to college, or subjecting them to bullying.

If you are a minor you should avoid posting pictures of yourself online because once you do post those pictures online you can never take them back.

I share pics of my kids only with close family using www.nixplay.com. It's a digital frame system where I can upload photos privately, and only the people I invite can see them on their own frames. That way, grandparents still get to enjoy new pictures without me putting anything on Facebook. It's quick and keeps everything in the family without worrying about strangers seeing the photos.
