Drupal does have a few advantages in Web Dev when it comes to content management scripts and software.
Drupal is a good content management system but I prefer to use Wordpress as it's much easier for me to manage.
However some people do prefer to use Drupal and that is okay as well.
Some advantages of Drupal and one of the major selling points of Drupal is its ability to create and manage a wide variety of content types, including but not limited to videos, polls, blogs, podcasts, and statistics.
Some other advantages of Drupal are Customizability, Security, Community and Scalability.
Drupal is a less used content management system so it's more secure than wordpress but as long as you secure wordpress really good then it's a good option as well.
