Some people lack the motivation to get up out of bed and start their day or it could be that the person has nothing to do that day so it can be hard for them to get up and out of bed.

I used to be depressed before and it was so hard for me to get up and out of bed and if it weren't for needing to use the toilet I would have just stayed in bed.

Another common reason for someone to have difficulty waking up and getting up in the morning is because of sleep inertia.

Sleep Inertia is pretty common in a lot of people.

Sleep inertia is where you feel groggy in the morning when waking up and it's very common to feel groggy and not fully awake when you wake up from sleep.

Once you wake up from sleep it can take 30 minutes to an hour before your body is able to fully wake up.

So you might still feel tired and not fully awake for an hour or even 2 hours after you get up and out of bed.

That is normal but if you take sleeping pills or other sleep medicine then they can make you feel groggy and tired even all day.

So when taking sleeping pills your body may not fully wake up and you still may feel tired and want to sleep.

But if you're not taking sleeping pills or other sleeping medicines then your body should be fully awake within 30 minutes to 2 hours.

When I wake up in the morning I lay in bed for a few minutes before getting up.

If I get up too soon I still feel a little tired and weak.

I just allow my eyes to adjust and my body to adjust and then I get up, take a shower and then within an hour I'm fully awake and ready to start the day.
