Switching car insurance companies too often can be bad for your insurance score and your rates on your car insurance.

If you need to switch from one car insurance company to another because you can get better rates then you should and can do so without harming your credit score or your insurance score.

It's best to stick with one car insurance company for at least 1 to 2 years before switching to another one.

You certainly don't want to switch car insurance companies every few months but every year or so is okay.

Switching car insurance companies too often may lower your insurance score and affect your car insurance rates and eventually you may come across car insurance companies that may not want to sell you a car insurance policy.

They may decide that you won't stay with them long enough so they won't want to sell you a car insurance policy.

I've only switched car insurance companies a few times in 10 years and only did so because I found a cheaper rate.
