Slugs are not really dangerous even if you touch the slugs.
However slugs can have parasites that may transfer to humans so if you touch slugs with your bare hands make sure to wash your hands afterwards.
The slugs could also be poisonous to dogs and cats and some other animals if they ingest them so do not allow the dog or cat to ingest the slugs and if they do you may need to take them to the vet.
But other than that slugs are mostly just an annoyance and not dangerous.

Another better option is to take some regular salt and pour some salt onto the slugs body and pour some salt on areas where slugs crawl across.

Slugs are usually more of an annoyance than being harmful but you should still avoid touching them or getting to close to them.
