The lifespan of an earwig is only 1 year which is pretty short when it comes to living things and their lifespan.
It can be possible for an earwig to live a little longer than a year but most earwigs die before 2 years old.
The mating season for earwigs is in autumn and winter, with the eggs typically being hatched in the spring months.
Earwigs are also the same thing as pincher bugs and they can pinch your skin and cause pain which happened to me when I was 5 years old.
That was painful and I never touched another earwig again.
So if you have kids make sure to teach them to not touch or pick up an earwig or pincher bug.
