In some ways pigeons are dinosaurs.
Pigeons descended and are a descendant of dinosaurs of years ago so you could say that the pigeons we see today are indeed dinosaurs.
In reality all birds, pigeons and chickens, crows etc are really all miniature dinosaurs and thankfully we don't have the huge dinosaurs that roamed the earth millions of years ago.
Those huge dinosaurs would probably make the human race extinct.
When in school years ago our teacher said that pigeons as well as other bird species are dinosaurs so I am taking his word for it.
