The flu virus and flu germs can live on bedding and other porous surfaces for around 12 hours.

On non porous surfaces such as plastic, metal etc the flu virus can survive up to 2 days.

If you or someone in your house has the flu make sure to wipe down things such as doorknobs, phones, computer keyboards, computer mice, TV remotes etc daily with disinfecting wipes to kill the germs and flu virus.

Wash bedding such as sheets, blankets and pillow cases often as well to keep the flu virus at bay and it's always nice to have fresh sheets, pillow cases and blankets especially when you have the flu.

I wish the flu virus never existed but keeping things disinfected can help kill off the flu viruses we do have.

Getting a flu shot has also helped me not get as many flu viruses each year like I used to get.
