What is the point of living your whole life in prison when you can just kill yourself and not suffer?

When people are sentenced to life in prison without parole and are never gonna leave the prison and have to suffer in prison behind bars the rest of their life why don't they just kill themselves and get it over with?

Why would they want to continue living when all they have to look forward too is waking up in a prison cell and living behind bars without ever being able to leave?

I couldn't imagine living my life in prison either if I had no chance of parole or freedom.

Especially if you enter prison at a young age such as 18 or 20 years old and are sentenced to spend the rest of your life behind those prison fences and walls and have no freedom.

But some people can easily adapt and would prefer living and find a purpose to live even when in prison and eventually they get used to being locked up in prison.

They can then do jobs and help other prisoners cope with prison life.

They then see life is worth living even when they are stuck in prison.

Some people are too scared to take their own life and are unable too even though they may think about doing it.
