DSL really should not get slow at night but I have noticed that too when I had DSL internet.

The reason that DSL slows down at night is because of network congestion on the DSL internet traffic line.

Even though your DSL line is dedicated to your house the DSL line running from your house to the DSLAM or Telephone Central Office ties in with one major line eventually.

Then all that traffic that goes through that line can congest it and cause the DSL internet speeds and data to slow to a crawl or at least get slower as it's routes from your house to the data centers across the world or USA.

During the night hours or evening hours more people are on the internet browsing and streaming videos and that causes network congestion.

If you can get Fiber Optic Internet you should and you won't have the internet slow down problems anymore and Fiber Optic Internet can give you much higher upload and download speeds as well.

When Fiber Optic Internet came into my area I signed up and got rid of DSL and so glad I did.
