Although roundabouts can be annoying to some drivers the roundabouts are indeed much safer than regular intersections.
At an intersection someone can just blow through the stop sign or stop light and crash into someone causing death or severe injury.
But with a roundabout people have to slow down and go around the roundabout to get into the other part of the road so you have to go slower and prevents crashes.
I used to hate roundabouts but now have learned to love them and since roundabouts have been installed where intersections normally would be crashes through those roads have been reduced.
Roundabouts do save lives and are well worth it even though they can be aggravating.
