Outrunning the police years ago used to be possible and some people would outrun the police and then go into hiding or into another state and never get caught.
But today with all the helicopters, radios and other equipment and faster cop cars it's very hard to outrun the police and not get caught.
If you do outrun the police you're likely gonna eventually gonna get caught whether it's the same day or a month or even a year later.
The police will continue looking for you and remember that a car will eventually run out of gasoline which will end the police chase.
Outrunning the police is highly unlikely though today and if you do try to outrun the police they will deploy stop sticks, try to ram your car and it could actually end up with the driver being killed or someone else being killed.
Outrunning the police can get you 20 years or even more time in prison so it's not worth it.
