Once you have a record expunged it means that the record doesn't exist so the expunged record should not show up on your background check.

So in most cases your expunged record should not show up on your background check but sometimes in rare cases the expunged record may not have been deleted properly or completely from your record.

I've heard of a few people having their expunged records show up on their background checks which prevented them from getting jobs.

They had to hire an attorney to help them get the expunged record actually fully removed from the background check.

A good reputable background check checking agency can also help you to get any expunged records removed from your background check if they do happen to show up on your background check record.

But usually the expunged records are completely deleted and removed from the record and should not show up.

Expunged records typically do not show up on standard background checks. When a record is expunged, it means that it has been legally erased or removed from public view. This process varies by jurisdiction, but generally, once a record is expunged, it should not appear on most background checks conducted by employers, landlords, or other entities.
