Raccoons are mostly active during the night and are nocturnal animals and usually when a raccoon comes out during the day it sometimes means that the raccoon is sick or dangerous.

But not all raccoons are sick and dangerous when they come out in the day because they may have been scared out of their habitat or may be out trying to find food during the day.

It can sometimes be normal for some raccoons to be out during the day but always be careful around the raccoon because they can carry diseases and attack you if they feel threatened.

A raccoon that may be sick or have rabies will usually be confused, disoriented, and slow and difficulty walking.

A healthy raccoon will usually feel full of energy and be busy, active and seem very intelligent.
