What's the point in wearing underwear?

My mom keeps telling me I need to wear underwear? I hate wearing underwear and I keep telling her it's not needed for me to wear the pointless underwear.

Honestly what is the point in underwear? I just don't get it.

They're mostly worn for hygiene reasons. I don't like them either.
