In some places parents will have to pay for their child to be in Juvenile Detention.
If the state requires parents to pay for Juvenile Detention for their kid then after the child gets out of Juvenile Detention or sometimes before the parents will usually be sent a bill or given a bill with the amount they are charging for the child to be in Juvenile Detention.
If the Juvenile Detention charges parents for the Juvenile Detention stay they will usually charge $25.00 per day which is around $750.00 per month.
The courts will usually work with you to pay the bill though.
In some places the Juvenile Detention center will not bill the parents but instead they are usually funded by tax payers just like the regular jails are.
