The jail or prison time and punishment for committing perjury varies from state to state as the laws pertaining to perjury vary from state to state.
However if a person is convicted and charged with Perjury then the person who was found guilty of perjury in most states can face up to 5 years in prison.
In most if not all states Perjury is a felony charge and gets you at least some prison time and not just jail time.
You'd be very lucky to get off on 1 year in jail when convicted and charged and found guilty of perjury and most times you'll be serving at least a 5 year prison sentence.
So my advise is to not commit perjury anywhere because it will not help you at all and will get you into some serious trouble.
