Most copperhead snakes have up to 10 baby snakes per litter although sometimes copperhead snakes can have as many as 20 baby snakes per litter.

Although most times a copperhead will give birth to 10 baby snakes or less per litter.

Copperhead snakes do not always breed every year but when they do they typically have 10 copperhead snakes per litter when they do breed.

Also copperhead snakes when born are left to be on their own and do not stay with their mother and are usually having to fend for themselves and feed themselves although mother snakes can regurgitate milk for the baby snakes they cannot actually nurse their young because they do not have nipples to supply milk to their baby snakes.
