The Komodo dragon has a pretty long lifespan and a Komodo dragon can live up to 30 years which is a pretty long time to have and keep a pet dragon.
So if you do get a Komodo dragon you should expect to be taking care of it for at least 30 years if you get the Komodo dragon as a baby dragon.
Some Komodo dragons may only live from 20 to 25 years old though but it's possible for them to live as long as 30 years.
Komodo dragons are mature around 8 to 9 years after they are born.
And very young Komodo dragons are vulnerable and therefore dwell in trees to stay safe from predators and cannibalistic adults.
