If the landlord wants to send you an eviction notice or a pay or quit notice for being 2 weeks late then they certainly can do so.

However most landlords will not evict a tenant for being 2 weeks late with the rent nor will they want to start an eviction process on the tenant.

Evictions cost the landlord money because they will have to go through court and pay legal fees and court fees for the eviction to happen.

So most landlords will not even start an eviction until you're one or two months late on the rent.

If you're gonna be late on the rent it's best to let the landlord know about it because that shows you're honest about it and it will be more likely that the landlord would work with you.

I've paid my rent before late 2 and 3 weeks late when I had run short on money and I was upfront with the landlord with the problem and he worked with me.

I was never evicted for the late payments but if you continue to have late rent payments then the landlord may decide to start the eviction process.

But just being 2 weeks late on the rent a few times is unlikely to get you evicted.
