To be able to qualify for legal aid your income level must be below $22,270.00 for a family of 1 or below $32,131.00 for a family of 2 and below $39,352.00 for a family of 3.

If your annual income exceeds those amounts depending on the amount of people in your family then you won't qualify for legal aid.

Getting legal aid is only available to those who qualify and have the right income levels and who cannot afford private attorneys or lawyers.

Legal aid is the provision of assistance to people who are unable to afford legal representation and access to the court system.

Legal Aid is regarded as central in providing access to justice by ensuring equality before the law, the right to counsel and the right to a fair trial.
