How difficult is it to escape from prison?

No I'm not in prison or ever plan to be. But I was just curious.

Is it really that difficult to escape from a prison? I see some have gotten out of prison so it must not be that difficult right?

Escape from prison might look easy to do but those prison escapees have worked at it and planned it for probably years before they made there escape.

Most of those escapes weren't an overnight thing and it's getting more difficult year by year now.
