Yes Juvenile Detention is essentially Jail for young offenders and you're locked up usually in a jail cell some of the day and night and sometimes allowed to roam around inside the Jail if you're good.
But yes Juvenile Detention is like Jail because that's basically what it is.
It's just a jail for younger people where they're kept away from the adults.
However usually a Juvenile doesn't get a bail like an adult does and is usually held for a few days until they can see the Juvenile Court Judge.
Then they decide the release or stay of the Juvenile.
However if the Juvenile is being tried as an adult they can usually get bailed out.
