The only way to completely stop your smartphone or cellphone from being tracked and traced is to turn the cellphone or smartphone completely off.
When you do turn your cellphone off then it stops communicating with the cellphone towers and can only be slightly traced to the location it was last turned off at.
So the cellphone can be traced to that location but it doesn't always mean the person or cellphone is still in that location.
