Adsense Approval Waiting Time?

Just wondering if someone can tell me how long it took for google adsense to approve of your application..

.I've been waiting for about a week, and I haven't heard anything from them, and now I'm starting to think maybe I didn't fill out the application correctly?

It still is saying that my application is under review and to place the adsense code but I have implemented it on my website. 

Website has been getting some traffic so not sure if should resubmit or what?

I wouldn't get too worried just yet.

I hear they can take up to a month or 2 to get to your review.

You're in a long line with millions of other people waiting to get approved or denied.

It can take up to 3 months to get your site reviewed.

So don't lose hope.

Adsense approval usually takes 2 days but can take up to 2 months before getting your account approved or denied.

It's getting really hard to get into now so once you do get in make sure you do all you can to keep your adsense account from being banned.

The rush for Adsense is understandable when it is one of the few ways of making money online with your website, but the reality is for most there is no hurry. Income from your website will not usually come right away anyway especially if your website is new and has little traffic.

When I started on the internet years ago the perceived wisdom was to build a site, probably 40+ pages of solid content then build the traffic up to a few thousand visitors a day and then apply for Adsense. 

With a solid site and traffic the approval would usually be very quick, and the clicks and money then start to appear in my Adsense account. With less than that the earnings would be minimal any way.  

Now it seems to be Adsense first and then content - so no wonder so many struggle for approval when there is nothing to approve. 

So I suggest that newcomers to Adsense hold off if they can restrain their impatience, build a quality website/sites and get the page views up to a reasonable level first.

Build up a website and get traffic first and show you are the real deal and not just a made for Adsense site. 

Then if you continue to get content on your website, and the traffic then start to use adsense. 

Adsense bans accounts pretty quickly for invalid activity so it's best to have lots of page views incase your ctr goes up too high. 

With a new site a ctr too high may lead to them thinking it's you clicking your own ads. 

Wait a year or 2 to get your website established and then apply for adsense once the traffic is solid.

You need around 2,000 daily unique visitors a day to earn any amount that would be worth it anyway.

Otherwise you might take a year or 2 to even get your payout in the first place. 

So just wait and get your website established and drive traffic to it.
