A non criminal restraining order will not show up on a criminal background check.
But all restraining orders are public record so even a civil restraining order will show up on the public record when the background check is done.
The person or company can do a search on public records and when they look up your name the restraining order even if it's just a civil restraining order will show up on the public record.
