Can you go to jail for a restraining order?

 Yes you can go to jail for violating a restraining order that was put in place.

When a restraining order is put in place on you a judge orders the people to stay away from that person while the restraining order is valid.

If you violate that restraining order and make contact with the person and the person calls the cops you'll always be arrested and taken to jail for violation of the restraining order.
