Why are small dog breeds so darn annoying and yappy?

My neighbor who is a sweet old lady has one of those annoying yappy dogs that barks constantly out the window or when it's outside and I'm in my yard minding my own business that little yappy dog likes to run up to the fence and barks it's head off until she comes out and tells it to shut up.

I hate the dog but love the lady as she's really nice so I just put up with the dog barking to have a nice neighbor next door.

I love some dogs but I can't stand little dogs that have that annoying bark.

I'm not sure exactly why those small dogs are annoying but yes I agree those small dogs barking are more annoying than bigger dogs and the smaller dogs bark is more ear piercing than a larger dogs barks.

Small dogs are more afraid of people and will tend to really bark at strangers more often and some thing they're being cute when they bark at people for food which is also not cute and annoying.

I know a lady that will always give into her little dog when she sits down at the table and eats and then the dog immediately goes and sits down near the lady and starts barking at her until she gives the dog some food which is a bad thing to do because it reinforces the behavior.

Dogs should not be allowed to sit there and stare at people and bark at them while they're eating.
