Streaming and downloading movies uses a lot of data so if you're on a limited data plan you can blow through your data pretty quickly streaming or downloading movies on Netflix.
Most home internet though is unlimited so it wouldn't matter but on 4G or other internet including satellite internet you could go through your internet pretty quickly watching or downloading Netflix.
