According to the FBI 5,000 banks are robbed each year.
5,000 bank robberies per year are reported to the FBI and it's surprising that that many people still rob banks because you're very unlikely to get away with the bank robbery and when you do get caught eventually you're gonna get 15 to 20 years or even life in prison for the bank robbery.
And at most a bank robber gets maybe $4,000.00 to $5,000.00 which is totally not worth the risk of bank robbery and if you use a gun or other deadly weapon in the commission of the robbery then that gets you charged with aggravated robbery which in some places can get you life in prison.
