If you as the passenger has committed a crime or have been suspected of committing a crime then yes the police officer can request you to give them your ID to identify yourself to them.

If you haven't committed a crime or haven't been suspected of committing a crime then no you're not required as a passenger to show your ID to the police or give up any information about yourself.

You can always ask to speak to a supervisor which the police officer has to request their supervisor to come and speak to you.
