What the Bible says about planting seeds is that you should use the physical act of planting the seeds to illustrate spiritual truths.

Spiritual planting is a process that requires planting good seed, ensuring it's in good soil, care like weeding and watering and patience, because the harvest does not happen overnight.
The Bible also teachers that you reap what you sow, and sowing generously leads to a generous harvest and sowing sparingly results in a small harvest.
There is also a right time to reap a harvest, and one should not give up if the results are not immediate.
And after the harvest, there is also a need for you to give thanks.
