I'm thinking of signing up with centurylink. But I read reviews stating they close accounts if you go over a certain amount of data such as 250 GB?

Is this true. I like to stream videos on roku and on my tablet. So I would be using a lot of data.

I have centurylink and never ran into the problem of the data limit.

They do have a limit in place of 300 GB and I think if you do happen to go over that limit then it's something like $10.00 per every 50 GB after that.

Not a bad deal and I've never gone over even streaming youtube on roku for half the day.

When I was using verizon mobile data I was getting charged $15.00 for every 1 GB over.

So if I happen to go over my 300 GB data then $10.00 would be a great deal.

Actually according to centurylink's website and what a rep told me the limit only applies to Yakima Washington.

Below is what is on there website. http://www.centurylink.com/help/index.php?assetid=317

IMPORTANT: Internet and data usage limits only apply to customers who are part of a usage-based billing trial for CenturyLink® High-Speed Internet subscribers in Yakima, Washington. More information is available in the CenturyLink® Excessive Use Policy and associated FAQ document.
