An example of falsifying evidence would be planting evidence and even forging of documents.

Planting evidence is a classic example of falsifying evidence in which a law enforcement officer or police or other person places illegal substances or weapons at a crime scene to frame someone.

Some police have even planted illegal drugs on someone in their vehicle to frame them and charge them with a drug crime.

Forging of documents is another example of falsifying evidence and is creating of fake contracts, financial statements, or other documents to support a false claim or a defense.

And even altering of evidence and false testimony as well as tampering with evidence and fabricating of evidence by law enforcement.

Fabricating of evidence by law enforcement includes actions such as filing false police reports, giving false testimony, or coercing others to give false testimony.

Tampering with evidence can involve destroying, concealing or altering evidence to prevent it's use in a legal proceeding and could be anything from destroying a witness's statement to erasing of electronic files.

False testimony is when a witness lies under oath, whether in a deposition or at trial and this can include fabricating an alibi or providing of a false account of events.

And altering evidence is the modifying of existing documents or physical evidence to misrepresent the truth.

For example, changing of the date on a document or even altering of a photograph.

Forging of documents is creating fake contracts, fake financial statements or other documents to support a false claim or a false defense.
