Community Supervision when someone is released from jail or prison is basically the same as being on probation.

Being under community supervision allows the offender to work and live in their community and support their families.

Probation and Community Supervision are basically the same thing but with just different names but Parole is the different part of it.

Parole is where someone is supervised in the community after an early release from prison but probation is supervised release of an offender within the community instead of having him or her incarcerated in jail or prison.

So basically when you're under community supervision you're still incarcerated in a way but not in prison or jail.
