Tempered glass can break by itself overtime if the tempered glass was even slightly nicked or damaged during transportation or installation of the tempered glass.
When tempered glass breaks suddenly it's called spontaneous glass breakage but if the tempered glass was never nicked or damaged then the tempered glass should never break unless you damage it somehow.

if the tempering technology is not followed, the glass may explode on its own, it is not always possible to warm it up properly, so there are cases.
