Most times ear piercing holes are permanent and never close up.
But sometimes the ear piercing holes can close up eventually but like I said usually they stay open and are permanent.
Ear piercing holes become permanent when a fistula is created by scar tissue forming around the initial earring so when that happens then your ear piercing holes are permanent and never close up.
I have two holes pierced in my ears and they've never closed up even without wearing earrings so as of now my ear piercing holes have become permanent.
