A bond from jail is when a bail bond company posts a bail for the person on that persons behalf.

To have a bail bond company get you out of jail you usually need to put a percentage of the bail amount up for them to release you from jail.

Most times it's 10% of your bail amount and then they put up the rest of the money to get you out of jail.

A bail is where you just pay the cash amount to get out of jail without the use of a bail bondsman.

If you show up to all court appearances then the bondsman gets there money back for bailing you out and if you paid the cash amount you get that amount back once all court appearances are made.

You still have to pay the bail bondsman their 10% fee if you used a bail bond company.

If you used a bondsman to get out of jail and don't show up for court the bondsman will send a bounty hunter out looking for you and won't stop looking for you until they bring you back to the jail.
