I no longer work in an office away from home but when I did work in an office I did a lot of spreadsheets and other boring tasks such as billing and invoices and at times it became boring and I couldn't focus and finish the job right away.

Other times I'd find myself with nothing else to do for 30 minutes to an hour before I got more work to do so during that time I would browse the internet on my phone and read sites such as reddit, yahoo answers, watch youtube videos etc.

When that become boring I would have some fun spinning around in my office chair or get up and take a walk around the office which we were allowed to do.

Luckily my boss allowed us to get up or find some fun thing to do when we were losing focus or had no work to do at the moment.

My bosses thought about us doing fun things or doing something else when we lost focus was that it would help us focus more on the job and it did.

When I would get bored of the work and couldn't focus on the work at hand I'd take a break and do anything else that was fun and then after 20 to 30 minutes I could focus on the job again and complete the job much sooner.

Not all offices allow you to take your mind off the job so be careful what you do so you don't get fired.

Since My job in the office was getting boring I decided to start a blog while still working at my job but I only blogged when at home and not at the office.

After almost 6 years of blogging I started earning more than I did at my office job and quit the office job to work on blogging full time and now I make more money when sleeping than I did while in the office.

So now my office can is in my home in a dedicated office when I want to work there  and sometimes I'll use my couch as an office with my laptop computer or even when it's nice outside I'll be out in my reclining lawn chair blogging on my laptop.
