No you don't need to wear any underwear under your compression shorts since compression shorts are designed to be worn alone and are supposed to make contact directly with your skin.
Wearing underwear or anything else under your compression shorts will cause discomfort to the person wearing the compression shorts.
So you could wear underwear under the compression shorts if you want too but it's not recommended to do so.
