The disadvantages of refurbished are you don't know or get the history of the product or how it was treated or how old it is until you get the product.

Another disadvantage of refurbished is that the warranty is usually less than 90 days or no warranty at all and you don't always get all the original accessories with originally came with the product.

It is good to buy refurbished and it can save you some money although for some products buying new will be the better option.

As long as you buy from a reputable business then refurbished can be a very good deal.

Refurbished products are just as good as new products in most cases although the refurbished products are not better than new.

The refurbished products also don't carry the same length of warranty as new products and sometimes don't come with all accessories.

Refurbished is the same as original and is the original product which has been returned or for example leased computers or computers that were sold by a business when being replaced can be refurbished and then resold to be used.

Many refurbished products are customer returns or products damaged in warehouses or during shipping that have been returned to the manufacturer and then repaired to like new condition.

Refurbished means that the product is a used product but has been restored to new or like new condition either by a third party or by a manufacturer.

Refurbished products are either refurbished by the manufacturer or by a third party and are open box products that may either be slightly used or unused but without the complete original packing and may have been slightly damaged in a warehouse or opened by a customer before being returned.

The refurbished item may or may not have scratches or dings but will function like new.

Factory refurbished is when a product goes back to the manufacturer from consumers or retailers and then the product is tested and reconditioned or repaired to make it function to the original manufacturer specifications.

The testing process assures the product meets the same stringent quality standards which are required for new products.

Basically when something is factory refurbished the original manufacturer or a professional outside firm repairs any defect on a reconditioned/refurbished item, returning the product to a like-new or almost-new condition.

Factory refurbished products can be just as good as new and can be cheaper than buying a new product of the same thing.

I've bought factory refurbished TV's before and they worked just as good as new and I got them for half the price of new.

Some products are refurbished by different companies and may not be refurbished by the manufacturer itself.

For example refurbished computers are often refurbished by a computer repair place and then resold.

They can also be good computers although they are often older computers that a business has replaced.

When you buy a refurbished item you don't get the history of the device.

You don't know how the person before you treated the device, and you don't know when it was purchased.

You normally don't get the original accessories that came with the device either.

Refurbished devices normally don't come with warranties.

Refurbished goods are one way to save money on large purchases.

Although, if you are unfamiliar with purchasing refurbished items, you may be concerned about the quality.

Don't worry, though. Refurbished purchases from reputable companies can deliver experiences just as good as brand-new items.

A refurbished device was either pre-owned or used as a display item.

However, refurbished products go through the same testing process as new devices do, so any defect is found and repaired, and any faulty part is replaced.

They work as well as new products but have a discounted price because of their refurb tag.
